John Dewenter most recently completed nearly a decade of service to one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds as Head of Development for the Asia region.  John oversaw investment partners and asset issues related to technical due diligence, asset operations, asset expansion and repositioning as well as development.  Partners included Hines, Lend Lease, Prologis, AIG, GPT (Australia), AMP (Australia), Macquarie, Precinct Properties (New Zealand) and others.  Further, John advised the investment team on technical risks and mitigants as well as value-add opportunities.  He also contributed to strategic planning for both the Asia region and the Real Estate Department as a whole. 

 

Prior to the above John worked for nearly 2 decades in senior roles for owner-developers in the US, South Korea, the Philippines and Thailand.  Preceding this John worked with project management and architectural firms in the US, Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand as well as construction in the US.

 

Project experience includes ground-up, major expansion, refurbishment, repositioning and conversion on commercial office, retail, residential, hospitality, logistics, mixed use, urban planning and infrastructure.

 

John has a Master of Building Construction, Master of Arts in Architecture and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture.
